Free vs Premium: what your money actually buys

TiviMate is free to install and genuinely usable at $0—one playlist, basic guide, clean playback. Premium is where the app becomes the living-room standard: unlimited playlists, a 7-day EPG with show descriptions, recording to USB or network storage, multi-view (up to four channels at once), catch-up where your provider supports it, reminders, and parental controls.

Pricing runs through Google Play regional billing via the TiviMate Companion app: recent figures put it around $9.99 per year for one device or roughly $33.99 for a lifetime license covering up to five devices—though regional pricing means your store may show less (some regions report ~$5/year). The Companion app on your phone shows the exact number before you pay. One account then covers every TV signed into it, which makes Premium noticeably better value than per-device players like IBO Player for multi-TV homes.

The Companion-app quirk that confuses every Fire TV owner

You cannot buy Premium on the Firestick itself. TiviMate Premium is purchased through the TiviMate Companion app—a separate Android phone app—or the developer's website. Install Companion on your phone, create the account, pay there, then sign into that same account inside TiviMate on the TV. Ten minutes, done once.

Why it works this way: Google Play does not process in-app purchases on Fire TV, and this sidesteps it. Any site selling “TiviMate Premium activation codes” or APKs with Premium “pre-unlocked” is scamming you—the unlock is account-based, not file-based, and a modified APK is a malware vehicle.

Installing TiviMate on Firestick the clean way

TiviMate is not in the Amazon Appstore, so Fire TV means one careful sideload: install Downloader by AFTVnews from the Amazon store, allow Downloader (only) to install unknown apps, and fetch the APK from the link the developer or your provider documents. The moment the install completes, revoke Downloader's unknown-apps permission—leaving it on is how “free streaming” bundles sneak onto sticks.

On Android TV and Google TV there is no sideload at all: TiviMate is a normal Google Play listing. Whichever route you take, finish by checking for updates occasionally—EPG parsing and playlist handling improve between versions, and a year-old build is a common cause of “my guide stopped loading” reports.

Adding your provider: Xtream in 90 seconds

Choose Add Playlist → Xtream Codes, and enter the server URL, username, and password from your provider's welcome email exactly—TiviMate then imports live, VOD, series, and EPG in one shot. M3U plus a separate EPG link also works, but Xtream is the smoother path when your provider offers it because guide data arrives automatically.

Two settings worth touching on day one: enable “Auto-update playlist” on a daily schedule so channel changes appear without a manual refresh, and set the EPG update to off-peak hours. Then build favorites—on a 60,000-entry provider list, favorites are the difference between a usable TV and a scrolling marathon.

Providers that publish TiviMate-ready credentials

TiviMate needs Xtream Codes or M3U logins from a provider—TiviMate itself is a player, not a service, and includes no channels.
